This is a totally fluffy drabble. I strongly recommend you turn on Wherever you will go by The Calling NOW. :)
"May I have this dance?" Blaine looked up as the opening chords of a slow song by The Calling came on, and was met with Kurt’s bright blue eyes, his hand outstretched towards Blaine. He glanced around and saw the rest of the glee club beginning to dance slowly with their dates. He saw Finn and Rachel, Brittany and Santana, Sugar and Artie…
"Of course." Blaine answered, taking Kurt’s hand and allowing him to lead him to the centre of the dancefloor, where Kurt laid his hands gently around Blaine’s waist, leaving Blaine to tuck his arms softly around Kurt’s neck. Blaine did so, and they danced slowly and carefully, in the cliche’d prom style.
But it didn’t feel like a cliche, not to Blaine. It felt like everything he’d ever wanted.
Except Kurt was leaving. It had hit Blaine at prom more than it had hit him at any time before. First came prom, then came graduation…
Blaine tightened his grip on Kurt, as if that would stop him leaving, somehow, and swallowed hard, glancing into Kurt’s eyes, which looked as suspiciously watery as his own.
If I could then I would, I’ll go wherever you will go, way up high, or down low, I’ll go wherever you will go
"I love you." Blaine whispered, so close were they by now he was sure Kurt could feel his breath on his cheek.
"I love you too," Kurt replied tearfully, his arms wrapping tighter around Blaine’s waist, and Blaine rested his head on Kurt’s shoulder, fearful that the tears would overtake him and he’d cry.
He’d promised there’d be no tears at this prom.
Kurt pulled him closer still at that, so close their bodies felt moulded together, and they were barely moving.
"Blaine, I love you. I love you so much that sometimes I…I can’t…if I didn’t have you I don’t know where I’d be, but I do have you and I’ll never be able to properly express how much I need you.” Kurt murmured softly, and Blaine nodded into Kurt’s tuxedo shoulder.
I’m sure there’s someone out there who can bring me back to you
"New York doesn’t mean forgetting." Kurt continued, "it doesn’t mean this…us becoming nothing, becoming just a high school romance. Maybe at first I thought that was what it was, but now. I can’t breathe without you, Blaine. You are everything."
Blaine lifted his head placed a gentle, sweet kiss on Kurt’s cheek, so light he barely felt it. But he felt Blaine’s arms around his neck, warm and comforting, felt Blaine’s fingers tangle in the back of his hair, and felt Blaine whisper the single word into his mouth, the word he knew summed what they had up better than anything he could ever say.
In your heart, in your mind I’ll stay with you for all of time
